A nice break from the rain

Drier air has moved into western Montana bringing an end to the showers. A cold front has moved through the region, bringing gusty west winds. Some gusts will reach 25 and 35 mph Wednesday evening before diminishing overnight. Partly cloudy and cold. Lows in the 20s.

Friday will be nice and calm across the region. Sunshine will give way to increasing clouds. Highs in the 50s.

Another storm system will move through the area Friday night through Saturday night, bringing a good chance of showers. Significant rain is possible and thus a FLOOD WATCH has been issued from Friday night through the weekend for parts of Flathead, Lincoln, Sanders and Mineral Counties in northwest Montana. Snow melt and rain will bring the threat of flooding.

Milder Satuday with highs in the mid 50s to mid 60s. Cooler Sunday behind another cold front with highs in the 40s to lower 50s.

Snow melt continues across the region. There is also a FLOOD ADVISORY until 10:15 pm Friday for Beaverhead County in southwest Montana.
