A pleasant summer weekend ahead
Very nice early summer weather can be expected across western Montana through the weekend and beyond.
Some gusty winds can be expected Thursday evening, with gusts up to 20 mph.
We will continue to be on the northeast side of a large ridg of high pressure, which means temperatures will be a few degrees cooler again Friday thanks to a northwest flow. However, as the ridge shifts east and is directly over us, a warming trend will occur.
Thursday evening and again Friday afternoon, a few clouds will move through the area with that northwest flow. Clear to partly cloudy through Saturday with sunshine Sunday.
Lows will be chilly Thursday night, with lows dropping to the upper 30s in Butte and Bozeman to the 40s in the Missoula and Kalispell areas.
Highs will be in the upper 60s to mid 70s Friday, the 70s Saturday and the upper 70s and 80s Sunday. Monday wiill be the warmest with highs in the 80s, approaching 90 in some areas.
Some models suggest rain by Wednesday and Thursday of next week.
