Accumulating snow possible this weekend
Lingering snow showers will be possible through the morning commute.
A brief ridge of high pressure will take over today. This will result in partly cloudy skies. Daytime highs will be in the upper 30s and low 40s.
We are tracking a storm system that will begin to impact the region Saturday and Sunday. Depending on where the snow sets up, significant snow will possible over the higher terrain. Mountain passes west of the divide, including Lookout, Lolo, and Lost Trail, could see a storm total of 4 to 8 inches of snow. Southwest Montana passes, including Homestake and Bozeman, could see up to 4 inches of snow. Valley locations will see snow accumulations, but they should stay under 2 inches. Gusty winds and colder temperatures are also expected this weekend.
Drier skies return early next week.
