River levels dropping, drier weekend weather


Mostly cloudy skies today with showers an isolated thunderstorms. Rainfall amounts are expected to remain under a quarter of an inch. Winds will be breezy at times with gusts as high as 30 mph. Daytime highs will be in the 60s.

A FLOOD ADVISORY remains posted for the Big Hole River near Melrose in southwest Montana for minor low land flooding. River levels will drop below flood stage today.

Lingering light rain through Saturday morning, then improving conditions. Partly sunny skies Saturday afternoon with highs in the 60s and 70s.

Mostly sunny and warmer Sunday with highs in the 70s.

The warming trend will continue next week with highs in the 80s by Monday and Tuesday.
