Finally, a break from the grey skies of spring!

Patchy areas of fog this morning will give way to partly cloudy skies. Daytime highs will be in the 40s to low 50s.

We are tracking our next storm system that will bring another round of wet weather to the region Wednesday. Showers will develop Wednesday afternoon. By Wednesday night and Thursday, widespread rain and snow will focus on areas along and south of I-90, especially southwest Montana. The snow level will be around 5000 feet with 3 to 8 inches of snow possible at Lolo, Lost Trail, MacDonald, Homestake, Monida and Bozeman Passes along with the West Yellowstone area. The Butte area could see some snow with mainly rain showers in the Bozeman and Missoula areas. Highs in the mid 40s to lower 50s. Lingering showers across southwest Montana on Friday.

A nice break from the precipitation will occur Saturday through Monday of next week. We should see some sunshine with highs warming to the mid to upper 50s.
