Partly to mostly cloudy skies today with a few showers around around Missoula and Kalispell. Another tenth of an inch of rain will fall today. It will be mostly dry in southwest Montana. Temperatures remain mild with highs in the 50s and 60s. A FLOOD WARNING has been issued for small steams in Central Madison County. Emergency management has reported flooding in Virginia City due to snowmelt. Water was flowing over several roadways, including Highway 287. Mild temperatures will continue to cause rapid snowmelt. Locations near small streams and creeks will be most susceptible to flooding problems.

A cold front will usher slightly cooler air into the region Thursday. There will be a chance of rain and snow showers as the snow level drops to 3500 feet west of the divide. Lost Trail and Lolo passes will see 2 to 5 inches of snow by Thursday. Behind the front, temperatures will be in the 40s, with lower 50s around Bozeman.

A break from the rain on Friday. An increasing chance of rain this weekend.
