Snow will impact travel north of I-90

A WINTER STORM WARNING is posted through Friday morning for northwest Montana, including the Kalispell area. Many areas are waking to snow on the ground. We have reports of 3 inches in Kalispell and upwards of 8 inches in Columbia Falls. Considering the event is almost over, additional accumulation today will range from 1 to 3 inches.

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY is posted for all of our mountain passes along with the West Yellowstone area. Additional accumulations of 1 to 2 inches.

Warmer air will overspread the region today changing the snow to a rain snow mix. Highs in the 40s with only a few scattered showers during the afternoon.

A break from the rain and snow Saturday with a chance of showers on Sunday.
