Sunshine for Father's Day, warmer this week

A Flood Advisory continues this weekend from Waterloo to Silver Star in Madison County because of ongoing flooding of the Jefferson River. Higher temperatures will continue to add to the melting snow. Current river forecasts show conditions improving early in the week.

Temperatures are a little cooler Saturday than we first expected and so our forecast for Father's Day has been adjusted down a couple degrees. However, it will still be nice and sunny! Lows will be in the mid 40s Sunday morning with highs in the upper 60s to low 70s. Highs will hit the 80s Monday and Tuesday as the warming trend really kicks into gear. Look for a few showers Tuesday afternoon in southwest Montana from some passing moist air.

Conditions moderate back to the 70s by Thursday with little to no rain present in the region. Friday will be a change as a system drops in out of the north, bringing rain and even snow to the mountaintops through Saturday. Next weekend could be well out of character for June with highs only in the 50s and 60s to start.
