Weather roller coaster continues

We are tracking a cold front that will bring rain and snow to western Montana this evening and Sunday, as well as much colder temperatures. High pressure builds in early in the work week.

Tonight, low temperatures will be in the lower 30s for much of the area, but dipping down into the 20s in Butte. A mixture of rain and snow is possible area-wide, but better chances will be in far western Montana.Light accumulating snow is possible in the high elevations and mountain passes.

Further cooling Saturday with highs in the 40s. A break from the precipitation Saturday and then another chance of rain and snow Saturday night and into Sunday. Over an inch of rain is possible in the higher elevations. Burn scars could experience rock and mudslides.

High pressure builds in for Monday-Tuesday, bringing warming temperatures and plenty of sunshine. A cold front on Wednesday could bring potentially arctic air and a chance of rain and snow to western Montana.
