Weekend brings mild weather, chance of rain
After a snowy end to the week continuing warmth will make our next storm a whole lot less threatening. Expect showers to linger in the Glacier area and wet roads around the region to be icy in some spots by early Saturday morning. Lows will be in the 20s.
Expect a mix of sun and clouds on Saturday. Highs will reach the 40s and low 50s. Cloud coverage will increase in the afternoon and evening ahead of another round of precipitation Saturday night and Sunday. Temperatures will remain warm enough that it will fall as rain in the valleys, with a wintry mix possible Saturday night at the higher elevations and wet snow over mountain passes. Most of the action will be during the overnight hours with more placid conditions by Sunday morning. There will remain a chance for valley rain through Sunday and into Monday.
Temperatures in the valleys will continue to remain mild, in the 40s and 50s each afternoon through the middle of next week. A cold front will move across the area on Thursday and give lower elevations a chance to see snow while temperatures will drop for Friday, about 10 degrees colder than the days prior.
