WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY remains posted for northwest Montana, including the Flathead and MIssion Valleys and the Swan Lake Region. Snowfall of a trace to 4 inches in the valleys and 4 to 10 inches in the mountains.

WIND ADVISORY is posted for the Missoula and Bitterroot Valleys east to the Butte area. Southwest winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.

We are tracking a storm system that will bring snow and gusty winds to the region today. The best location for accumulating snow will be north of interstate 90. The morning commute will be impacted wind and changing road conditions. Locations from Missoula to Bozeman have a chance of snow, but little to no accumulation is expected. All areas will see increasing winds, with gusts 45 mph on Wednesday. This will create difficult driving conditions for high profile vehicles. Highs Wednesday will be in the 30s to around 40.

Unsettled weather continues through the end of the week. Scattered rain and snow showers with highs warming into the 40s Friday and Saturday.
