Winter weather advisory for parts of Montana
Snow will develop across western Montana late Thursday night and continue through Friday.
The heaviest snow will occur across southwest Montana in the Bozeman area. WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY tonight and Friday for Gallatin, Madison and Beaverhead Counties and adjacent areas of Yellowstone National Park. Snowfall of 1 to 3 inches in the valleys, 3 to 6 inches at the passes and 6 to 12 inches in the higher elevation.
WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY late tonight and Friday for the Missoula and Bitterroot Valleys and adjacent areas. Snowfall of a trace to 2 inches in the valleys and 2 to 4 inches in the mountains.
Snow banding will be possible Friday across west central Montana. In this situation, some areas may receive a quick inch or two of snow while just down the road there is no snow.
The storm system will move out of the region just in time for the weekend.
Lows in the 20s to lower 30s with highs in the 30s. Chilly this weekend with highs in the 30s to around 40. Lows in the 10s and 20s.
Dry conditions should occur for the "Brawl of the Wild" game on Saturday in Bozeman. There may be snow on the ground thanks to the storm that is supposed to bring snow to that area Thursday night and Friday.
A little milder next week with highs in the 40s. A chance of rain and snow Wednesday and Thursday.
