Winter weather impacts Friday


WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY for all passes west of the divide, including Lolo, Lost Trail and Lookout Passes. Snowfall of 1 to 4 inches at the passes. Snow is also likely in the valleys west of the divide, with a trace to 1 or 2 inches Friday.

Temperatures will continue to be well below normal. Highs will be in the upper 30s and 40s with lows in the mid 20s to lower 30s.

A few lingering showers are possible early Saturday, but the threat will quickly diminish by mid-day.

Milder this weekend and next week as drier air moves into the region. Becoming partly cloudy with highs in the 40s Saturday and the upper 40s and 50s Sunday. Highs in the 50s through the middle of next week.

Another storm system will then bring cooler air to the region and rain and snow next Thursday.
