Avalanche victim's family expresses thanks
MISSOULA, Mont. - Michel Colville and her husband, Fred Allendorf, were buried in an avalanche in the Rattlesnake neighborhood Friday. Allendorf is still hospitalized. An 8-year-old boy also was buried. He survived. Colville was under the snow the longest, some three hours. She died Sunday night. Now, her daughter has written a letter, letting the public know her mother died surrounded by loved ones. She writes that her family is thankful for the continued support and the volunteers for digging for personal possessions. The family plans to hold a celebration of life sometime in the spring or summer and will make an announcement once a date is set.
