Bozeman police charge woman with criminal child endangerment
BOZEMAN, Mont. - Bozeman police say they arrested a woman for criminal child endangerment near the intersection of I-90 and 19th street on Friday.
The woman, Cheri Martinez, was driving recklessly with a 2-year-old child in the car. A drug recognition expert with the police department said she was under the influence of a narcotic analgesic, a category of drug that includes heroin, oxycontin and codeine.
Police said it was not clear if the child was related to her.
Bozeman police saw a rash of driving-while-intoxicated offenses this weekend, with officers issuing five DUI citations by Sunday morning.
