Bozeman shooting victim dies in Seattle hospital
MISSOULA, Mont. - One of the three victims who suffered gun wounds in a shooting in Bozeman early Friday morning died in a Seattle hospital Saturday, according to the Bozeman Police Department.
Police Chief Ron Price said the 24-year-old Bozeman area resident was being treated at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle at the time of his death.
Price confirmed that at about 4:00 a.m. Friday, shots were fired in the area of the 100 block of N. Ferguson and Monroe Street. They believe the disturbance stemmed from a house party.
According to a news release from the Bozeman Police Department, an argument occurred at nearby apartment. Police say the suspect returned with a shotgun and approached several people in a driveway area and fired several shots. Chief Price says the accused shooter, 25-year-old Cody Little, attempted to fire a fourth shot. Court records say a witness told investigators Little aimed the shotgun at his head and pulled the trigger, but that it was out of shells.
Three men, all in their mid to late 20's were injured.
Police say a weapon was located at the time of the arrest.
Little is being held on two felony charges of attempted deliberate homicide and one charge of felony assault with weapon.
A judge set bail at $1.25 million dollars for Little.
