Butte homicide trial begins
BUTTE, Mont. - Jury selection, opening statements and testimonies began in a Butte murder trial Tuesday.
25-year old Jeff Lackman, from Whitehall, is accused of shooting 46-year old Mark Partelow last August. Prosecutors allege Lackman was high on meth at the time.
Lackman fled and was arrested two days later on charges of deliberate homicide.
Lackman pleaded not guilty, saying he acted in self defense.
The trial is expected to last three days.
