Butte man arrested for attempted deliberate homicide
BOZEMAN, Mont. —
A Butte man is being held on charges of attempted deliberate homicide after authorities encountered a 70-year-old man with injuries to his neck early Monday morning, according to Butte-Silver Bow County Undersheriff George Skuletich.
The following is a press release from the sheriff's office with more information:
On March 12th at 2:20 a.m. officers responded up to the 1000 block of Zarelda on a report of suspicious activity. When officers arrived, they were speaking to the complainant when the noticed a male walking toward them. When the male reached them, they noticed that he was bleeding from the neck and he had blood on the front of him. While speaking with the male it was determined that a vehicle may also be involved. The male was transported to the hospital. While at the scene we were informed that the suspect may have gotten a ride to the Party Palace. Officers responded to the Party Palace and placed the suspect in custody. The victim is being treated.
ARRESTEE: Richard Girard 38 year old male from Butte
VICTIM: 70 year old male from Butte.
