Commission gives go ahead to finalize police facility land swap

BOZEMAN, Mont. - Bozeman City Commissioners meet late into Monday night, as they discuss a number of items- including finalizing a land swap for a new Law and Justice Center.

The land exchange will be with the Montana Department of Transportation, and will give the city space for its new crime and court facility.

The proposal calls for trading some 12 acres of city land at the old water reclamation facility for a 7.8 MDT parcel on the 900 block of Rouse Avenue.

Now that commissioners have approved finalizing the land swap, the city will begin reviewing costs and the design of the new municipal court and police building.
