Did you feel it? 3.4 earthquake strikes Helena
HELENA, Mont. - The United States Geological Services and the Montana Bureau of Mines and Geology reports a 3.4-magnitude earthquake struck the Helena area around 7:30 p.m. Monday.
USGS says the quake originated in the northwest part of the city near Baldy Mountain, about 6.6 miles deep. A 3.4 magnitude on the Richter Scale indicates light shaking. USGS reports the quake lasted for a short time.
