MISSOULA, Mont. - Gibralter Ridge Fire information officers say residents will be able to return to their homes Saturday morning to check on their belongings.

The temporary re-entry period will be from 8 to 10 a.m. Red flag winds are expected to increase fire activity in the afternoon.

Crews say no buildings have been lost as of Friday morning, despite winds starting a number of spot fires. The spot fires are mostly located near the junction of Foothills Road and Lick Lake Road.

Information officers say evacuations are unchanged as of Friday morning. The evacuation orders include Sherman Creek, Griffith Creek, Therriault Pass Road and Stevens Creek. Other areas, including Glen Lake and Sinclair Creek south and east of West Road are under pre-evacuation.

The Ten Lakes and Grave Creek Recreation Areas are closed starting at the junction of Grave Creek and Stoken Roads. The fire has burned through 1,652 acres according to Friday morning's infrared flyover.
