Flooding prompts some voluntary evacuations in Granite Co.
MISSOULA, Mont. - Residents in Granite County voluntarily evacuated their homes Tuesday in the Fred Burr Creek area, according the Granite County Sheriff's Office.
The sheriff says about five homes have been evacuated.
The sheriff's office has been speaking with and helping homeowners in the Fred Burr Creek area since 8 a.m.
Granite County residents can pick up sandbags at both county shops and the fire hall in Drummond to aid with any flooding.
The National Weather Service reports one cabin has flooded.
