MISSOULA, Mont. - Graduation season wrapped up in the Bitterroot Sunday afternoon. More than 60 graduates walked across the state to receive their diploma.

"I am so excited to finally be graduating," graduate Alex Durand said.

But before graduates can walk out the door of Florence Carlton High School one last time -- some leave the incoming seniors a few pieces of advice.

"Keep your grades up," graduate Carson Katen said. "That helps a lot with scholarships and paying for college."

"Cherish every moment. Go to every event that you can," graduate Braxton McCullough said. "Talk to all your friends and keep in touch with them and connect with all the seniors in your class."

There are 22 students heading to college with scholarships. Of the 62 graduating seniors, 39 walked with honors.

Their class motto read, "you must go on adventures to find out where you truly belong."

Some graduates say they are ready to start a new adventure after high school and for the next chapter of their lives.
