Former Griz player pleads guilty to felony drug charge

MISSOULA, Mont. - A former University of Montana football player cut a deal with prosecutors Tuesday, and pleaded guilty to a felony for having dangerous drugs.

Officers arrested 20-year-old Trevor Poole, a former offensive tackle for the Griz, at the end of October. Poole attended a large Halloween party, Disco Bloodbath III, north of Missoula.

In Missoula County District Court Poole admitted he bought two 'Molly' pills, a drug similar to ecstasy.

In exchange for his guilty plea prosecutors agreed to recommend an 18-month deferred sentence.

The final decision is up to the judge. Poole's sentencing is scheduled for January.
