German exchange student lived near house where he was shot
MISSOULA, Mont. - Missoula police say 29-year old Markus Kaarma laid a trap to catch a burglar and ended up shooting into a darkened garage Sunday morning.
The 17-year-old German exchange student, Diren Dede, died at the hospital.
The shooting happened in an area of Missoula known as Grant Creek, about 10 minutes northwest of downtown. It's a nice and quiet neighborhood. There are a lot of young families.
You can take a closer look at the map. The map shows where Kaarma's house is. He lives at 2607 Deer Canyon Court. Dede lived on Prospect Drive, in a house almost directly behind Kaarma's.
