Habitat for Humanity participates in National Women Build Week
BOZEMAN, Mont. - This week Habitat for Humanity of Gallatin Valley is participating in National Women Build Week. Habitat for Humanity is building two homes in Belgrade's River Rock neighborhood, and this week local women are coming together to help out.
We're told Habitat for Humanity started building this home in October and should be finished by June.
DeeAnn Bos volunteered on Thursday and tells us it is her second time working with the organization.
"It's so nice to see what entails in building a house, and where all the work goes. Today I've been working on landscaping, which River Rock was named River Rock for a reason. Its been really hard work, so working on landscaping and working on troweling right now," said Bos.
In Butte on Thursday, Habitat for Humanity of southwest Montana celebrated a major milestone. The organization completed it's 50th newly built home.
Habitat for Humanity of Southwest Montana has been building homes since 1995.
