Host families needed for exchange program

KALISPELL, Mont. - Students from all over the world are coming to Montana as part of a high school exchange program. It's run by a program called International Cultural Exchange Services (ICES).

The group includes students from South Korea, Germany, Spain and many other countries.

Every year the program brings students from various countries to the United States, including Montana. But this year organizers in western Montana are facing a shortage of host families.

Last year they had around 30 students come to Montana. This year that number has risen to around 45, and that means more families are needed.

ICES organizers tell us they need several more families and they are looking to find some in the Kalispell area. If families are not found, the students will have to be placed elsewhere, possibly not in Montana at all.

If you are interested in hosting an exchange student contact Regional Director Sierra Fein at 406-570-2218 or email her at or visit the ICES website for more information.
