Investigation underway in reported assault on MSU campus


MISSOULA, Mont. - Montana State University issued a Timely Warning Sunday night.

According to the warning, police responded to the Johnstone Center at 6:20 pm.

The victim reported that an unidentified male grabbed her arm in a stairwell and told her he was going to rape her. She was able to run away from the suspect unharmed.

The suspect is described as a white male about 5'7" tall and wearing a green hoodie-style jacket.

MSU police would like to remind students to use caution when walking alone, stay in well-lit areas, and travel in groups.
