Montana Hall lit for the holidays
BOZEMAN, Mont. - Alumni Plaza at Montana State University was packed Wednesday evening for the annual lighting of Montana Hall. Students, staff, alumni and neighbors were basking in the holiday spirit.
Montana Hall is one of the central landmarks on campus. It is the second oldest structure on MSU's campus.
The lighting ceremony started two years ago. Staff members say the event is meant to build a sense of community.
The event featured music from MSU School of Music's Montanans and preschool students from MSU's Child Development Center as well as remarks from the student body president and vice president and from MSU President Waded Cruzado.
A s'mores bar and cotton candy machine also kept attendees well fed.
