National Weather Service: No tornado in Twin Bridges

TWIN BRIDGES - A National Weather Service investigator on the ground in Twin Bridges does not believe a tornado hit the area.

After reviewing evidence, Madison County Public Information Officer Steve DiGiovanna told NBC Montana the National Weather Service believes the damage is the result of "straight-line" winds.

Our reporters are in Twin Bridges today to get the latest on damage and cleanup efforts.

According to posts on Facebook, Northwestern Energy worked through the night to fix downed lines and restore power to area affected. They say they hoped to have power restored to the Twin Bridges area Friday.
