New citizens take oath during naturalization ceremony in Butte

BUTTE, Mont. - Immigrants became American citizens at the Mike Mansfield Federal Courthouse in Butte Wednesday.

There were 26 people in attendance from 14 different countries including India, Jamaica, and Germany.

The hour-long service included singing of the National Anthem, the Oath of Allegiance and the presentation of certificates.

Constatino Aleman was granted his U.S. citizenship. Originally from Costa Rica, he now lives in Kalispell with his wife and two daughters.

"I feel very proud, very happy and excited. It's a great day," Aleman said.

Aleman said he plans to keep doing what he does best -- running his business and taking care of his family.
