Redfern announces candidacy for Republican nominee to special election
MISSOULA, Mont. - Another candidate announced his intent to run in the Republican Party as a potential nominee to replace Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke's former U.S. House seat.
Samuel Pascal Redfern's announcement brings the number of Republican candidates back up to seven, after Drew Turiano dropped out of the running.

Samuel Pascal Redfern of Missoula, an Iraq combat veteran and non-profit executive, has paid his filing fee today and is seeking the Republican nomination for the upcoming special congressional election. He can be reached at (406) 370-5492 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
With the addition of Mr. Redfern and the earlier withdrawal of Mr. Turiano, we are at seven candidates who have filed for the nomination with the Montana Republican Party: Sen. Ed Buttrey, Greg Gianforte, Carl Glimm, Ken Miller, Dean Rehbein, and Ed Walker.
The deadline for candidates to meet the filing requirements for nomination is 6:00pm Friday, March 3, 2017.
