Stevensville High School honors 72 graduates

There weren't many seats unoccupied at the school gym in Stevensville. The class of 2017's commencement brought a huge crowd to honor Stevensville High graduates.

They are proud of their 'Yellowjackets.'

On Saturday afternoon 72 seniors crossed the stage to receive their diplomas.

Marolyn and Ron Griffin came from Hamilton to watch their grandson Mason walk across the stage.

"We're here for Mason's graduation," said Marolyn. "He is one of our 18 grandchildren and he is just an awesome young man."

"Yes he is," said Ron. "He's done really good in high school and we're really proud of him."

The Griffins probably spoke for everybody in the gym as they whistled and blew horns to recognize 13 years of hard work.

Valedictorian was Tristan Pearson and Salutatorian was Benjamin Crews.
