Sweet Peaks ice cream finds crowds in rain
MISSOULA, Mont. - A new ice cream shop in town got a gift from the weather today, making up for a wet and windy grand opening yesterday.
Despite the weather, the owners of Sweet Peaks ice cream say they still saw a crowd walk through their doors Saturday.
It could be the following they've developed from their three other locations in the Flathead, or it could be the local ingredients and gourmet flavors that they say sets their ice cream apart.
"There's potato chips in my ice cream and that's amazing! It just tastes delicious with chocolate, and salt and sweet. It's a good combo," said Missoula resident, Jessy Lee.
"It was great. It was our first trip. So we stopped down to try the new ice cream and it was great," said Missoula resident Larry Simkins.
Sweet Peaks is located at 420 North Higgins in Missoula.
They're open from 11:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. 7 days a week.
