Two suspects allegedly try to rob man at knifepoint
BUTTE, Mont. - Butte police said two men tried to rob a man at knifepoint while he sat in his car. The man was reportedly parked at the entrance to the Greenway Walking Path on Pinon Street. Officers said the two suspects Joseph Cantrell and Bradley Jackson knocked on the man's window to ask for cigarettes, then allegedly pulled out a knife and punched the man in the face. The victim reportedly tried to fight back and the men fled. "Our officers were in the area fairly quickly and were able to apprehend both suspects especially given the fact that the victim was able to provide a good detailed description," said Butte-Silver Bow Sheriff Ed Lester. Lester said the suspects ran south across the interstate and police found them outside the town pump casino on Dewey Street.
