UM's Hall sets school heptathlon record again
MISSOULA, Mont. - It was windy afternoon in Bozeman for day number two of the Montana State Open, but nothing that could slow down the dominant performance of Montana's Lindsey Hall in the heptathlon.
The Griz senior and Missoula native continued to excel Friday in the heptathlon, after winning three of her four events on Thursday, and posted an event winning total of 5,424 points.
That total breaks Hall's very one school record of 5,360 points from her Big Sky championships performance at Sacramento, CA back in 2011 which was good enough to earn Hall a trip to nationals. Friday's total places Hall No. 9 in the country at this point in the season for the collegiate heptathlon. The top 24 marks at the end of the season will be invited to NCAA Nationals in June at Eugene, Oregon. Hall's next heptathlon will be at Azusa Pacific in mid-April as part of the Mt. SAC Relays.
