Unsettled weather through the weekend
Partly to mostly cloudy skies today with a spotty shower. Daytime highs will be a few degrees below normal in the 60s and low 70s.
Afternoon thunderstorms will be possible Friday, but the bulk of the day will be dry. Highs will be in the 60s and 70s.
Weather models now indicate a good chance of significant rain across NBC Montana for Father's Day weekend. A large storm system will bring periods of moderate rain and high elevation snow Saturday and Sunday. Southwest Montana could see over an inch of rain. A noticeable rise to small streams and creeks will be possible. Burn scars will see an increased concern for rock and mudslides due to significant rain over a short period of time. Highs will be in the 60s, which is below normal for this time of the year.
Showers will continue to be in our forecast early next week. Highs will finally get back to the normal 70s by the middle of the week.
