Whitefish man arrested after road rage incident
WHITEFISH, Mont. - Flathead County Sheriff's Office received a report at around 7:15pm on Saturday evening of shots being fired on Tumble Creek road. According to a release sent out by the Sheriff's office, a man and woman were riding their motorcycle when they passed a reckless driver in the Creston area. Passengers in the vehicle made obscene gestures at them and reportedly were driving recklessly. The motorcycle attempted to follow the vehicle in order to obtain a license plate number. They followed the vehicle up Tumble Creek Road to the intersection with Hodgson road when a passenger reportedly leaned out of the vehicle and fired several shots at the motorcycle. No one was injured by the gunfire. The victims on the motorcycle stopped and called 911 at this time. The Sheriff's office located the vehicle at a Whitefish residence. The passenger, 34-year-old Whitefish resident Christoper Robert Showen was located at the residence and taken into custody. Shawn was initially charged with assault with a weapon. The case is still under investigation.
