MISSOULA, Mont. - The Big Sky Conference cross country championships were held in Ogden, Utah over this past weekend.

The Montana State women took second place in the team standings, meanwhile a Missoula product won the individual title.

Paige Gilchrist, now a senior runner for Northern Arizona, ended her Big Sky Conference career on top by winning the race in 17:12. The former Hellgate Knights standout athlete completed the 5-kilometer course 11 seconds faster than second place.

"It was the best way to finish up my collegiate career at the Big Sky Championships," said Gilchrist. "I've never won individually. It's always been a dream I guess and what better way than to do it with my teammates."

Northern Arizona swept both the men's and women's team and individual titles on Saturday for the second year in a row.

Gilchrist and her team are now focused on NCAA regionals on November 10 in Logan, Utah.
