Montana earns historic victory at Pittsburgh

MISSOULA, Mont. - The Grizzlies have had several near-misses when it comes to taking down elite basketball programs under Travis DeCuire and Monday night Montana got over the hump by recording an 83-78 overtime victory at Pittsburgh.

Junior guard Michael Oguine was the man of the hour, leading the Grizzlies with a career-high 29 points to go with six rebounds and five assists. Ahmaad Rorie chipped in 18 points on the night, six of which came in overtime.

The tight contest featured 12 ties and 11 lead changes on the night. Montana held the biggest advantage of the game when they led 48-41 early in the second half.

Making the night even more special for Decuire is that Monday was his 100th career game at the helm of the program.

The win was Montana's first over a Power-5 team since 2010 and their first victory over an ACC program since 1966. The Grizzlies will try to add another marquee victory to the resume on Wednesday when they battle against Penn State.
