MSU's Tyler Hall voted preseason conference MVP
MISSOULA, Mont. - Montana State junior guard Tyler Hall was voted preseason Big Sky MVP by conference head coaches, announced the league on Thursday.
Last season as a sophomore, Hall set the new single-season scoring record for the men's basketball program at MSU and was a unanimous All-Big Sky Conference first team selection. The 6-foot-4 guard from Illinois averaged 23.1 points per game last year and shot 42.9 percent from beyond the arc.
Montana Grizzly junior guard Ahmaad Rorie was also selected to the preseason all conference team. Rorie started all 31 games for UM as a sophomore and led the Griz in points, minutes, three-pointers, assists and free throws. He is entering his second season of action for the Grizzlies after transferring from the University of Oregon.
Hall and Rorie are joined by Idaho's Victor Sanders, Eastern Washington's Bogdan Bliznyuk, North Dakota's Geno Crandall and Jordan Davis of Northern Colorado to round out the preseason all-conference team.
