BOZEMAN, Mont. - Montana State University sophomore Alyssa Snyder finished in fourth place in the 10,000-meter run at the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships, earning First Team All-American status.

The Coalville, Utah, native crossed the finish line at Hayward Field in 32 minutes, 58.31 seconds, topping her previous MSU school record by 45 seconds. It is also the second-fastest time run by a Big Sky Conference athlete in the 10k.

Snyder became the Bobcats' fifth First Team All-American at the NCAA Outdoor meet and is tied for the program's best performance on the national stage.

Elouise Rudy finished fourth at the NCAA Championships in the pole vault in 2007.

This 10k was Snyder's final race in the blue-and-gold, since she is transferring to Utah State in the summer.
