WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY will remain posted until 11AM for all areas along and south of I-90. Snowfall of up to 2 inches are possible across southwest Montana. Slushy snow-covered roads and black ice will be present during the morning commute.
Showery conditions are expected into the afternoon, but additional accumulations during the afternoon and evening drive will be minimal.
The threat of snow will continue into Saturday, especially across west central and northwest Montana. Occasional showers are expected, but we do not anticipate significant accumulations in valley locations. Mountain locations may pick up an additional accumulation of a couple of inches. Showers diminish Sunday. Highs this weekend will be in the 20s and 30s.
Monday, more moisture will enter western Montana from the Pacific, and will cause more widespread snow. We are still not anticipating a major snowstorm, but valley accumulations of a couple inches will not out of the question.
