(WHAM) – With a high volume of gifts expected to be mailed this season, the U.S. Postal Service is suggesting people send their holiday packages as early as possible.
“The Postal Service always encourages customers to send their gifts and cards early. This year is no different,” USPS said in a statement. “This has been an extraordinary year of unprecedented challenges given the COVID-19 pandemic, and the postal service is expecting significant volume increases which are difficult to predict.”
The agency expects Dec. 14-21 to be the busiest mailing and shipping week of the year.
USPS reminds customers packages can be shipped from home. For information on how to do so, click here.
