MISSOULA, Mont. — Census officials announced Monday that Montana workers will resume field operations after suspending them due to COVID-19.
That means many Montanans in rural areas will receive a physical questionnaire.
Authorities say the Census workers will carry out new procedures to keep them safe from coronavirus. That includes leaving packets on doorsteps, wearing protective equipment and maintaining social distance.
As of Tuesday, Montana's response rate to the Census sat at 48.4%.
