MISSOULA, Mont. — A motorcycle riding club in Polson helped purchased flags and banners to honor armed forces on the Armed Forces Memorial Bridge.
Today, Raven Hall motorcycle riding club put up three American flags and six flags representing each armed force on the bridge's light poles.
According to Raven Hall member Russ Harbin, the city of Polson was supposed to take care of the bridge's flags for over six years, and yet the bridge was still missing representation of the armed forces.
So, the Raven Hall members partnered with a few community members and veterans and took over the bridge's contract from the city and Department of Transportation and Montana state and are set to care for it for the following five years.
Donations from veterans and members of the community helped fund the flag program.
