BOZEMAN, Mont. — Spectacular mountain scenery, blue-ribbon rivers, plenty of places to eat, and a four-star hotel -- Bozeman’s amenities are drawing in people from across the country and world and catching the attention of Time Magazine.
“I think that’s what their readers were looking for is where can you go for something that’s unique, not run-of-the-mill. Maybe downtown New York-style hotel, but still have the amenities available to you and the comforts of going to the different restaurants and eateries and bars that we have here,” said Daryl Schliem, CEO for the Bozeman Area Chamber of Commerce.
The publication put Bozeman on their world’s greatest places list for 2023, alongside Barcelona, Kyoto, Budapest and several other international destinations.
Schliem said recent big-name developments caught the attention of Time Magazine, including J.W. Heist Steakhouse and news that singer-songwriters Joey and Gavin DeGraw became the new owners of the Open Range Restaurant on Main Street.
“It’s not one thing that attracts it, but all it takes is one national news type of an article. Whether that be a restaurant opening or a Kenny Chesney concert. So we have a lot of things that led up to this, so we’re seeing more and more of these qualified articles being put out there on Bozeman,” said Schliem.
