MISSOULA, Mont. — On a Monday phone call recording with President Donald Trump obtained by the New York Times, Gov. Steve Bullock said Montana is one day away from running out of coronavirus test kits.
“Literally, we are one day away if we don’t get test kits from the CDC, that we wouldn’t be able to do testing in Montana,” said Bullock.
In response, Trump told Bullock that the United States has “tested more now than any other nation in the world,” and that he “hadn’t heard about testing being a problem.”
“We do have to rely on a national chain of distribution, or we’re not going to get it,” Bullock said to Trump.
