A car hit a fire truck at an accident scene on Saturday afternoon near Missoula, officials said.

Missoula Rural Fire said it happened when Engine 311 was responding to an accident on Highway 93 south of Missoula.

The vehicle, that was apparently traveling too fast in conditions, lost control.

"Fortunately there were no injuries, but there very easily could have been," the Facebook post said.

The fire district reminded drivers to always move over to the open lane and slow to 20 miles per hour under the speed limit while passing an emergency scene, per Montana state law.
