Famous actor accused of walking off boardwalk in Yellowstone National Park

MISSOULA, Mont. — A major Hollywood star is accused of walking off the boardwalk in Yellowstone National Park.

NBC Montana obtained court documents overnight that cite Pierce B Brosnan for foot travel in a thermal area of Yellowstone National Park, in the Yellowstone Canyon area.

Official documents that were filed yesterday by the District of Wyoming list a violation of closures and use limits at Mammoth Terraces.

The charging documents list Brosnan's address as on Wilshire Boulevard in Beverly Hills, California, and publications like the Men's Journal and the Messenger are identifying the defendant as the famous actor in major motion pictures out of Hollywood.

The federal court documents say this is a petty offense and yesterday it set an initial appearance in court for Brosnan for Jan. 23.
